A glorious, sun-drenched morning…

It's amazing how waking up one hour earlier can make such a dramatic impact on your day.

Up until about a year ago, I would wake up between 6:30 am and 7:30 am…

But then I went to a mastermind in L.A. that had several celebrity guests…

And I noticed a commonality:

Almost every one of these ultra-successful people (Magic Johnson, Kris Jenner, and Mark Wahlberg) all shared the same morning habit:

They all wake up before 5 am…

And one of the first things they do is to work out.

So I figured hey if it’s good enough for these people, it’s probably worth trying out for myself…

And I’ll be honest: it’s made a HUGE difference in my life.

This morning I woke up at about 4:50 am PST…

And while getting up at around 5 am, vs 6 am, might not seem like it would make a huge difference in your life…

For me, that extra hour or so has been an absolute game-changer.

I spent about 20 minutes reading Principles by Ray Dalio…

A glorious, sun-drenched morningNext, I responded to every single person who replied to the email I sent out yesterday (it was a popular email lol).

Then after I was done replying to those emails, I went outside and did my normal morning walk…

Which is a roughly 3-mile loop through my neighborhood…

I need to tell you:

That walk was absolutely glorious.

I do this walk almost every morning…

But for some reason, today’s was just extra special.

The air was so cool and crisp…

The mountains and high-desert landscape were drenched in the rising sun…

Birds were chirping…

And, while this might sound weird, it almost felt “alpiney.”

It helps that our neighborhood in Vegas is at about 3,500 ft above sea level…

Compared to the strip, which is at about 2,000 feet above sea level…

But yeah, there was just something in the air…

And I enjoyed the brisk pace of the walk and the cool air in my lungs tremendously.

A glorious, sun-drenched morningAnd now I’m writing this blog post…

Then I’m going to jump into some deep work for my personal brand (RMBC, Freelancer stuff, etc).

At around 10 am I’ll stop working and go upstairs to pack…

Then at 11 am we’ve got a flight to Scottsdale…

Where we’ll be hanging out until Friday, before returning to Vegas.

I’ll be working some while we’re in AZ too…

But what’s nice is that because I will have already gotten so much done before our 11 am flight…

I know I won’t feel at all stressed when traveling.

Anyway, I just wanted to share all of this with you.

I don’t like being “prescriptive” or telling people what to do…

But I do think it’s valuable for me to share my experiences, and what “works for me”…

In case you at least want to try those things out…

And for me…

When I wake up earlier, I tend to be happier.

So, food for thought.
