I Am Not Your “Guru”

I totally swiped that headline from the Tony Robbins documentary from some years ago…

But hey, it’s true.🤷‍♂️

I am not your guru.

I’m nobody’s guru actually…

And here’s why:👇

I’m too busy in the trenches to be a full-time guru.

A while ago, I started a joint venture in the supplements industry.

We had gone through and optimized a ton of stuff with the first offer I did.

Including building out an entirely new tech-stack…

Putting the right people in the right places…✅

Split-testing a ton of copy…

Dialing in ads and other assets…

And more.

That stuff ALWAYS takes way longer than you think it will…

But the copy converted excellently, it ran at a profitable ROAS nearly immediately (even with a HORRENDOUS initial tech stack)…

The infrastructure and architecture came into place, and while we had originally said the goal was a few hundred million…

We created the goal of scaling this venture to a billion+ in revenue annually.

Yeah, I know, at first, I said the goal was a few hundred million…

But my vision had changed due to all the crazy opportunities we found in front of us as well as the team and infrastructure we implemented.

And all of this brings me back to my point…

I’m not a “guru.”

I’m a marketer, copywriter, and entrepreneur.

The difference between me and other folks who wear those hats though…

Is that I really, really, really want you to succeed.

So even as I build this billion+ dollar company…

I’ll keep sharing what worked, what didn’t work, and what lessons have been learned throughout.

But it’ll be based on real, in-the-trenches data and experience…

Not s*** I read in a book…

And not stuff that worked a few years ago.

Screw that.

That’s what “guru’s” do…

And, in case you haven’t been paying attention…

I am not your guru.👈
