Good morning!
After spending the last five days at the Venetian hotel, it was really nice to sleep in my own bed last night…
But man, what an incredible past few days it has been.
As most of you know, we just wrapped up our second ever Copy Accelerator Live Event.
The first one was in September of 2019, in Austin, Texas.
And, as I just mentioned, this most recent one was here in Las Vegas.
What’s really cool, is that while we got a ton of great feedback after our Austin event.
The all-around consensus from the 200+ attendees who made the trip to Vegas…
Is that this most recent event took things to an entirely different level.
Why?
One reason comes down to the event strategists we worked with leading up to the event.
For those of you who have been following my blog for a while…
You may recall how Justin and I invested $30k to spend a weekend with Jen Kem and her team up in San Francisco.
Jen and her team helped us to get really clear on our why, the value proposition of our mastermind, and the framework we teach…
Plus, they gave out team a ton of practical training on event logistics too…
Which then allowed us to be way more organized leading up to the event.
And it showed.
It wasn’t perfect…
But overall, everything was pretty streamlined and effortless…
So, Jen and her business partner Sarah deserve a ton of credit for that…
As do our amazing volunteers and staff…
Because they took what Jen and Sarah taught and executed it exceptionally well.
Another reason I think this event went so well is because of the caliber of the speakers and what they shared.
I can’t tell you how many times I heard from people that they were blown away by how “giving” all the speakers were.
Specifically, these folks were referring to the fact that nobody at the event (speakers or non-speakers for that matter) held anything back.
Jeff and Mark from Natural Health Sherpa gave the entire blueprint for building a 9 figure brand (in IMMENSE detail)…
Jay Deiboldt from Credit Secrets handed over immediately implementable backend optimizations that will increase AOV dramatically…
Tyler Bramlett from Warrior Made showed how to acquire more customers than your competitors and then truly maximize their Lifetime Value by leveraging data…
Jason Kutasi from Cheviot gave specific, actionable Facebook Ad Buying strategies that he’s using right now to spend $50k – $100k a day on traffic…
Matt Harmon from Think Basis shared how to reach the other 90% of potential customers who aren’t on Facebook (game-changer, by the way)
And Chris Haddad opened up about the origin story that led to him becoming one of the best copywriters in the world (and that almost ended his life too)…
A third reason I think the event succeeded on such a high level was the attendees.
The full members of our mastermind were able to attend for free, but non-members needed to pay $2,950 for their ticket.
That’s not a small amount…
But the trade-off to charging such a high amount…
Is that it attracted a very high-level of attendees.
And, because of the high-level folks in the room…
Nobody was bashful about sharing, or talking, or communicating.
One of the coolest things from the last few days, from my perspective, was actually the mansion party we did on the final night.
Why?
Because even though the event started on Wednesday for Copy Accelerator Members, and Thursday for non-members…
And the days were long while the nights were longer (it’s Vegas, after all)
The final “wrap up” party we did on Friday night was still electric.
Everyone attended…
The energy was through the roof…
The conversations were incredible…
And nobody wanted to leave.
To me, that’s a big sign of a successful event.
Because I've been to a lot of events where everyone is burned out by the end…
But not here.
The final reason I think the event was such a success is due to the intentional way we approached feedback, community, and mentorship.
At its core, that’s what Copy Accelerator is all about.
And we really emphasized these components from the beginning of the event…
Then didn’t stop until it was over.
This paid big dividends…
Because our attendees were truly bought into providing and receiving feedback…
To being part of a community…
And to both mentoring and being mentored while we were together. When that happens, when people really commit to principles like that…
A lot of magic can happen.
I’m going to have way more takeaways from this event…
But right now my brain is still recovering from the last several days lol.
Before I end, though…
I do want to give a huge shout out to all of the folks who joined our mastermind while they were in Vegas:
- Pauline Longdon
- John Hutchison
- Blake King
- Robert Tidwell
- Brian Speronello
- Robert Grebe
- Misty Williams
- Ryan Connolly
- John Robb
- Ian Wyatt
- Matthew Murphy
- Darren Hanser
- Michael Rochin
- Michelle Sands
- Peter Kell
- Joshua Albanese
- Heath Wilcock
- Christopher Santos
- Scott Jackson
- Jim Rowley
- Art McDermott
- Joe Barton
- Teddy Truong
- Christian McClure
We came into the mastermind with 93 members…
And about half of them were up for renewal.
Almost all of them renewed instantly…
Then, we had 24 more people join…
Which is super badass.
We’re capping the mastermind at around 130 people…
And that’s not BS scarcity.
It’s because Justin and I provide feedback and copy reviews for our members…
In our private Facebook group…
And, after 130 people…
Our bandwidth would simply be too tapped.
So between our current members and our renewing ones…
We’re at roughly 117/130…
Which means Copy Accelerator is going to hit capacity this year…
And I’m pretty stoked to see that happen!

Okay, that’s it for now.
I’m gonna go get my daughter, Eden, up in a few minutes…
Then spend the day relaxing and recouping with my family.

P.S. One super quick note on this before I go…
At the end of the last day of the event,
When I’d just gotten off stage and saw my daughter from across the room…
I broke down crying.
I RARELY cry…
But the emotion of finishing the event…
And then seeing this child who I love more than anything in the world…
It was overwhelming.
Laura says it's the most she's ever seen my cry in nearly 10 years…
And it was all captured on video too.
I haven’t seen the footage yet…
When I get it, I’ll probably share it with you as well.
