A long time ago, my best friend's father said something that stuck with me:
“The world needs worker bees too.”
His point was that some people are destined for more menial types of jobs, and that things would fall apart if that wasn't the case…
And I always accepted that as being somewhat true.
But a while back while at a fancy steakhouse I had an interesting revelation:
I kept eavesdropping on the table next to ours…
As this family went on-and-on about the importance of GPAs, Test Scores, Getting Into the Right College, Getting the Right Job out of College, and more…
And it really blew my damn mind.
You see, I don’t think there's anything wrong with going to college…
It’s just that the seriousness…
The life-or-death manner with which the parents discussed this with their children, and singular focus…
It was a LOT.
God, the family was almost neurotic about it…
And that's when I realized that “rich” people can be worker bees too…
You can be in the upper middle class, or the straight up upper class, and still just be a cog in the machine.
Maybe that's obvious, but it really struck me heavily that night…
And it made me feel even more thankful to be leading a movement in the world of freelancing and entrepreneurship.
Not only do I get to help tons of people completely change their lives and their income…
But these folks enjoy tremendously more freedom and autonomy too….
And I'm incredible blessed to be able to do this.
Anyways though, I felt so fired up about this that I had Laura record me while I made a little rant about the subject…
So if you want to watch me expound on this concept while dropping a fair amount of expletives…
You can do that here on YouTube.
Hope you enjoy.
